Yesterday was quite the day at HB headquarters. Some of Team Hippo enjoyed the company of a furry friend, which I’ll get to after I insert a preamble. It's one thing to bring kids to work. HB’s owners (Christen & Julie) are always supportive of us mommies that way. In fact, I sometimes think of my kids as my boss. I mean, our kiddos dictate our schedules, right? Actually, what is it they don't dictate — politely of course?

A member of our team has been amusing us with stories of her new puppy. Apparently "Taco is the cutest, cuddliest bear of a dog that ever happened upon this universe.” So, we were curious. Since the HB office is separate from the warehouse, she was given the green light to bring her dog to work for the day. After all, what can a little puppy, not yet 15 pounds, possibly do, but sit pretty and offer up her loving lick every so often? Let me preface this next tidbit. I am man’s best friend’s HUGEST fan. I love them, I get them, dogs + me = best friends forever.

Nevertheless, I think some members of Team Hippo may have been pulling their hair out by day’s end. I think, though, instead of telling you just how chaotic and after-the-fact funny today was, I’ll just tell you this — tomorrow is a new day – thank goodness! And, Puppy Taco is back at home tearing up toilet paper, chewing up anything she can reach, tracking in ice balls and slush, and being the "cutest, cuddliest bear of a dog that ever happened upon this universe." Ha. I can’t imagine what were we thinking? I mean, dogs + me = bff – YES! But, puppies + office = no, no!

Sincerely though, Taco is really cute. I mean, what puppy isn't? She's furry and sweet.. and a true crazy puppy. And, as a constant reminder of just how loving Taco is, pupkis remains all over HB's windows. Anyone, besides my silly Balderdash playing family, ever heard of the word (pupkis)?
